Chiricahua National Monument

If you want to visit a national monument park with as little foot traffic as possible, Chiricahua National Monument is for you. This started as an hour long drive from Wilcox, AZ just to see what was there. Unfortunately, my photos will not do this place justice because it was pretty amazing. It is so unexpected in Arizona because you assume it is all dry and desert. This place was completely opposite. The rock formations are from an ancient volcano eruption... 27,000,000 years ago.
